Return of a Legend Titanic

Everyone is calling it the "return of a legend." Last year, Australian billionaire Clive Palmer revealed plans for Titanic II, a modern-day functioning replica of the original luxury liner. According to the design plan, "While every bit as luxurious as her namesake, Titanic II will have every modern amenity along with 21st century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems." Passengers can purchase tickets and experience a journey across the ocean in a real life flash to the past, including class divisions and even costumes from the time period.

Het Arresthuis: A Dutch Prison Turned Into a Luxury Hotel

Het Arresthuis in the Netherland is a newly opened luxury hotel, that served as a jail between 1863 to 2007.

The penitentiary has 150 holding cells which have been transformed into 36 luxurious rooms and 7 suites, including four special suites known as The Director, The Jailer, The Lawyer, and The Judge, all of which feature modern furnishings and neat details like exposed brick and barred windows.

Tiger Temple in Thailand

The Tiger Temple in the western province of Kanchanaburi - about 80 km from Bangkok - began life in 1999 when the first female cub was brought to Wat Pa Luangta Bua Yannasampanno, a Buddhist sanctuary, and was cared for by the monks. Since then, it has evolved into a much larger wildlife haven and is now a major tourist attraction in Thailand.

It is one of the few places in the world that allows visitors to touch tigers. For a basic entrance fee - or 'donation' - of 1,000 baht (about £20), visitors get a tour of the site and the chance to enter the sanctuary's Tiger Canyon, a quarry with a rocky pool at one end containing a dozen or so sleeping tigers chained to the ground.
